- Dept. of Civil Engineering newly established. 10 Departments with 880 students enrolled. The first Commencement was celebrated for 292 graduates.

- Dept. of Home Economics, Dept. of Clothing newly established. Shingu Technical College was approved by the Ministry of Education. Soon-Hee Won took office as the second Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Chong-Ik Lee appointed as the first president of Shingu Technical College.

- Two years study term extended to three years in the Dept. of Dental Hygiene and Dept. of Dental Laboratory Technology. Enrollment of 22 departments of 2,000 and 960 students for day and night classes respectively

- The Dept. of Tourism English (40 students) in the evening division was established

- Mr. Jae-sun Lee was appointed as the 6th Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Soong-Kyeom Lee was appointed as the 3rd president.
