The Department of Child Care & Education is primarily concerned with training students to become experts in early child care and we strive to cultivate nurturing teachers and professionals who are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the demands of an ever changing society.

Subject Overview

Rhythm and Instrumental Music
Rhythm and Instrumental Music improves students' piano playing abilities and aims to develop musical aspects, especially in accompaniment methods for children's songs that are required in teaching children.
Early Child Care and Education
This course teaches how to academically and psychologically care for young children.
Child Development
Early Child Development cultivates the ability to instruct behavior and to teach proper education for young early children according to their particular developmental stage. This course teaches the developmental stages of young children who need protection and care.
Supervising Child Safety
This course focuses on 'safety,' the most important term in childhood education. This course is about learning and practicing concepts, and educational values, that will help with accident prevention plans geared towards children's activities and social environments.
Music for Children
This course promotes practice in teaching musical activities that develop children's creativity and emotion.
Art for Children
Art for Children provides sufficient art experiences geared towards self-expression. This course builds up good personality by cultivating confidence, creativity, and cooperation and by supporting and understanding children's environment. This course teaches instruction methods that contribute to creating a better society.
Fine Art for Infant
This course based on studying theories and facts of education of Fine Art for infants. Students cultivate the ability to correctly instruct infants in artistic endeavors.
Child Welfare
Child Welfare teaches systematic knowledge regarding social systems and welfare issues including the family environment, school environment, and social environment, which cultivates an improvement in the potential of children and helps in the growth of healthy children.
Mathematics and Science in Infant Education
In order to bring up infants with the right understanding of the nature and logic of thought, students study the meaning and objectives of nature education as well as the relationship between infant development and nature and the basic concept of numbers.
Study of Children's Eating Between Meals
This course Considers the necessary amount of nutrition necessary for the development of both the brain and physical growth. It is insufficient for infants to consume only three meals a day. Therefore, infants should be fed between regular meals. As a result, our students systematically study nutrition and the variety of infant foods that promotes healthy growth.
Music and Movement Education for Child
Music and Movement Education for Child surveys various methods to develop expressive capabilities in young children. This course also teaches many useful teaching tools, such as musical activities, hand plays, etc.
Introduction of Early Childhood Education
Introduction to Early Childhood Education teaches about educational philosophy and methods, as well as overall concepts of children's education. This course provides the basic fundamentals and attitudes for actual educational activities that a teacher should know.
Family Relations
Family Relations recognizes the importance and implication of the family and teaches how to keep good family relationships and builds up the capability to prevent and understand family problems that occur in contemporary society.

Health Education for Young Children

Parent Education provides education for parents who ultimately impact the development of young children and parent education programs that are applicable for children.
Counseling for Children
Counseling for Children teaches theories, processes and techniques related to counseling. This course builds up the capability to apply preventive counseling by learning play therapy and art therapy among other counseling methods.
Language Education for Infant
Learning about language development and educational theories of early childhood, students study language teaching methods that are suitable to the stage of infant development.
Behavior Modification of Disabled Children
Behavior Modification of Disabled Children teaches concepts and about the different types of disabilities in children and cultivates the capability to educate and distinguish children who are physically challenged.
